World's Largest Fair Trade Coffee Break, FREE! Help set a world record! For World Fair Trade Day 2008, people across the United States will set the world record for the World’s Largest Fair Trade Coffee Break. On May 10, 2008 at 3:00 pm Eastern/ 12:00 noon Pacific, people across the country will take a break to enjoy a cup of Fair Trade coffee or other Fair Trade beverage. This will set a new record that will serve as a benchmark for futres years’ challenges! World Fair Trade Day On May 10 2008, people in 70 countries worldwide will hold events to mark World Fair Trade Day (WFTD) and highlight the importance and benefits of Fair Trade. Celebrate in Media, America's First Fair Trade Town! Fair Trade enthusiasts worldwide will host Fair Trade food tastings, house parties, speakers, festivals, concerts, and fashion shows. Many communities are celebrating WFTD over a period of two weeks, from May 3- 18th, America’s First Fair Trade Fortnight. Fair Trade Poster Contest Exhibit Saturday, January 12 through Saturday, May 10 Coffee Club America's First Fair Trade Town Committee in Media, PA is holding a poster contest to promote education about Fair Trade. All entries will be displayed at the Coffee Club Café in Media. The poster exhibit will be updated monthly, with opening receptions at Media's Second Saturday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm: Buy Fair, Buy Local Receptions are free. Entry fee is $10 for ages 7 and over, free for 0-6. Poster Contest rules and information available at www.mediaartscouncil.org.
